TOR is one of those techniques by which you can be anonymous and access blocked websites at the same time. The best part about TOR is how it is one of the best options you have to in today’s world to remain anonymous. It can’t promise you to be completely anonymous, but this is the closest of being perfectly anonymous. In this article we will see how you can use TOR to be anonymous by hiding your identity along with hiding your real IP address and access almost all the websites no matter if it is blocked by administrator or your government.
Note: You can’t use TOR to download files using torrent client and be anonymous at the same time. Torrent application works in such a way that it will expose your IP address and because of the bandwidth torrents use, your downloading will slow down the entire network. Also be sure to read the warnings before proceeding: TOR warnings
- Download TOR – Link
- Open the downloaded file and extract it to a suitable location.
- Open the shortcut “Start Tor Browser” from the extracted folder.
- Wait until it connects to the TOR network and it automatically opens up the TOR Browser.
That’s it, now you can use and visit any websites without having the fear of somebody watching over your shoulders. But you better not enable the scripts on the webpages you visit. Also if you happen to download something while you were using TOR, never open those files if you’re still connected to internet.
